how to get rid of duct tape marks on luggage bags?

well..my mom used my luggage and put duct tape on top my luggage to write my name and when i took off the duct tape, there's marks..how do i get rid of it??

1. use a paper towel with hand sanitzer on it...

3. You might consider "De-Solve-It" Contractor's Solvent. I bought some online for the same purpose (but not to take the gunk off of luggage but off of my car). and it worked. All I did was spray the stuff on - wait a minute and then rub it out. http://www.orange-sol.com/contractors/index.htm Depending on your case maybe it'll take more than one application. Myabe you might consider a store instead of shopping online but that's up to you.
4. Take more duct tape and stick to it and tear it off fast. It will take the leftover tape up with it.
5. There is a product you can use (purchase) called "goo gone" that removes tape adhesives etc, and wont harm the "plastic" or vinyl on the luggage. I caution you against using the product "GOOF OFF" as it does damage any and all plastic type surfaces !!! it melts them ~ If you dont want to purchase a product, there are some things around the home you can use, that will work they just take a little more elbow grease, and that are things like WD40, even cooking oil of any kind will help to break the "sticky residue' behind, using a soft cloth, but "Goo Gone" takes it off easily and a little goes a long way and will last you for years and as I stated earlier, wont harm any platic types of surfaces.
6. I agree with the previous answers. Goo Gone is amazing, and cheap. I am moving overseas and have used it to remove a number of things. It works on so many surfaces, so you only need the one product.

THERE IS SEVERAL THINGS TO TRY FIRST IS WD-40 IT IS A LUBRACANT CHEAP, SPRAY A LITLE ON DUCT TAPE MARKS ,LET SIT 20 SECONDS WATCH FOR EFFECT IF GLUE RUNS WIPE WITH CLEAN COTTON RAG ,MIGHT TAKE SEVERAL DOSES,IF ALL ELSE FAILS TRY GOOF OFF ,A PRODUCT SOLD AT CANADIAN TIRE STORES ,WALMART,HOME HARDWARE, ALSO REMOVES PERMANENT MARKER,FOLLOW DIRECTIONS ON THE CAN
8. denatured alcohol sold in many stores etc walmart has it, home depots all of them in pint and quart cans.... goo b gone, and all that stuff goof off..the ingredient in it is denatured alcohol that does the work....depending on how many luggage bags you have it may be pheasable to bye a small bottle of goof off....or if alot a pint of straight denatured alcohol would be more cost effecient....the remainder can be used to clean windows, remove latex paint off of counters carpets etc ..endless uses..
